Well, I’ve been interstate for half the week for one thing! I was very excited to fly up to the Gold Coast to meet a number of amazing bloggers that I’d befriended online, face to face for the first time. I’ll do a post about Queensland and what lovely places I visited, things I saw etc very shortly.
Spending time with people that just “get” you. It feels so incredible to spend quality time with like-minded people, particularly those that are doing inspiring things and living life by their own terms. I was lucky enough to spend a whole lot of time with Sian (Twelve by One) and Rach (In Spaces Between) who are two seriously cool chicks. Also the girls (Claire and Jas) from Sweet Lime and Spiced Tea are uber stylish and switched on! And thanks to Catherine from The Spring for such an entertaining convo – you’re a gem!
Shellac French Manicure. I decided that since my nails are now long enough to paint, that it was time to test out this Shellac gel coating that everyone has been raving about. It is a pretty interesting process, what with all the steps and the “curing” under UV light. The lovely Lisa from Elysium Beauty did this beautiful job on my nails (and answered 400 questions at the same time)!
Finding hidden gems. Sian and I spent a day wandering the Gold Coast and came across some bizarre and wonderful things. We found a treasure trove of old records, a national dance competition/expo, quaint cafes and the strangest (and most hilarious) book title I’ve ever seen (top right).
Home. Despite my love of travel and adventure, I do savor my own bed, time with T and being back in good old Melbourne. We were lucky enough that she put on a pretty stellar day today too.
Other: Amazing brainstorming sessions for exciting projects, huge salads, cold cider on hot days, feeling inspired, beach walks, laughing so hard your stomach hurts, first training sesh for the year, getting through big work tasks, seafood dinners with the boyf, crazy musical cleaning sessions and getting organised.
As it’s been a bit of a hectic, all-over-the-show week I only have a few links, but believe me – they’re still incredible gems!
Jo is one of the beautiful bloggers I got to meet in real life (despite adoring her blog, August Empress, for forever). She always finds the cutest little things, this week it’s Ghost Patrol Pencil Sets.
Ever wanted to know How To Be a Bicycle Babe? Gala Darling talks about cycle chic and how to get it right.
Sorry to embarrass you with all the pimping Sian, but I do love this post – Do More With Less. Clean up every aspect of your life for a fresh start!

I simply must own this World Map Triptych by Modern Canvas – how inspired would you be to wander the world with this in your room? Perfect gift for a dreamer/vagabond!
I have an amazing eye lifting gel by Sodashi and have decided it’s time to investigate their other products. Their Holiday Facial Kit seems like the thing post-mini break!
