The Week With All The Vision Boards
January 30, 2012 in 52 Delights Project
THE WEEK THAT WAS
I had an absolute blast during my week of congruent self discovery – I hope you did too if you were playing along. I definitely have a clearer idea of the things that I value most and would like to focus on in the next few months. I know how I’d like to spend my time and energy and where my strengths lie.
Living a well-aligned life is always going to be a work in progress, but it certainly helps when you sit down and figure out a little bit about who you are, what you want out of life and how you want to get there. Often we think we know ourselves relatively well, but will have our minds blown when we really explore what is going on inside those gorgeous minds and what satisfies and nurtures us deep down.

THIS WEEK
But Kim, it’s already the end of January, why bother doing vision boards now? I know, I know, I’m a little behind the times but I think any day is a good enough day to get inspired and piece images together that will get the creative juices pumping and your motivation flying!
I was really blown away by this stunner of a vision board put together by Rach of In Spaces Between and longed for the day when I’d have Photoshop and be able to use it to create something (almost) as gorgeous. Well kids, I have Photoshop Elements (the poor woman’s Photoshop) and have spent a number of hours working out how to use different bits and pieces.
I don’t know about you, but I’m a very visual person. I like to be able to see what I’d like to achieve/create in front of me, so I have a clear picture of what I’m aiming for and what I’ll have to do to get there. Sometimes it is as easy as believing in yourself and focusing positive energy on your hopes and dreams. I’m a little ‘new age-y’ when it comes to things like affirmations and manifesting your desires.
I’d like to work on a handful of vision boards – 2012 goals and affirmations, health and wellbeing, career and one consisting of lovely spaces.
Here’s my first attempt: a Summer Vision Board – what do you think?

Amazing post honey :) I really like your vision board, it is so colourful and inspirational. There is no time like the present to change our outlook, so there is nothing wrong with starting your vision board a few weeks later :) I will follow you on Bloglovin as well, the more the merrier haha :) x Melissa
Thank you Melissa! I am so glad you liked it. I was definitely having fun making it (despite the technical frustration of not knowing how to use a few tools)!
Cheers for the BlogLovin’ follow, that’s sweet of you. xx
What a beautiful post and an absolutely stunning vision board!! I can definitely relate to being a visual person too and have just started on pinterest so I can keep all those beautiful images that really speak to you somewhere easy to find. A vision board is still on my to do list and even though we are nearly in February I am still going to do it ….. Anyway, who says setting goals and evaluating your life should only be done at the beginning of the year!!
:)
Thank you so much Kelsey! I only just started on Pinterest recently too, isn’t it gorgeous? So glad I’m not the only one doing vision boards in February – can’t wait to see what you come up with! xx
I love vision boards! I like them for specific projects, but you’ve inspired me to just make one for fun :) Looks like you’re in for a great summer!
Me too Tiera! That vision board started out as a very generic one, but then the summer feel started to come together. I’ve been loving putting the boards together, so much inspiration flowing through me right now! xx
